Antique Caster Rings are a vintage brass band for the bottom of chair legs. These shallow caster sockets add eye catching appeal while helping to prevent chipping and splitting of chair or table legs from daily wear and tear. Add to new and vintage furniture.
Install antique caster rings
- Must use with plate-type casters
- Round furniture-legs must have a 1-1/8″ diameter at base
- Caster-plate must be 1-1/8″ in diameter. If plate is smaller, it may slip thru the flange. This would enable ring to drop down around caster.
- Interior of caster ring has narrow flange around center
- The flange acts as a stop between leg and caster to keep ring in correct position.
- Place caster ring on furniture leg,
- Attach caster
- Once installed bottom of caster plate will be flush with bottom of caster ring, as caster plate slips up inside ring to flange
