Finding an exact match for an old lock is not always possible, as only a limited amount of sizes are now made.

Full Mortise Locks are produced to quality standards. Engineered and made in Germany, these locks offer smooth reliable action. Use on drawers and doors. Full mortise locks have a combination lock mechanism with two key positions. This enables lock to secure a left door, right door or drawer. Location of keyhole is offset requiring care when positioning lock in furniture.
When installing: lock fits into pocket in drawer top or door edge. Once installed only selvedge and keyhole are exposed. Strikes not necessary and rarely used. If preferred generic strikes are available.

Replacing Full Mortise Locks
Keyhole location measurement is critical. Replacement lock-keyhole-location must match location of keyhole in furniture.
To measure: easiest to measure old lock, if you have it:
- Lock Keyhole Location: distance between selvedge-edge – where bolt shoots through, to lock pin. This measurement is known as the backset.
- Furniture Keyhole Cutout Location: distance between furniture-edge to estimated location of lock pin in furniture keyhole.
