Full Mortise Locks are a low profile design. Once installed only brass selvedge and keyhole are visible. The result is a smooth wood surface, surrounding the lock body. German engineering and smooth action combine producing this well-made, dependable lock. Made in Germany.
Full Mortise Locks have three keyhole positions. This unique mechanism can be used on either left doors, right doors or drawers. Keyholes are offset requiring care when positioning lock in furniture. When installing: Full Mortise Locks are fitted into a pocket, carved in drawer top or door side. Strikes not necessary and rarely used. If preferred generic strikes are available.

Replacing Full Mortise Locks
Keyhole location measurement is critical. Replacement lock-keyhole-location must match location of keyhole in furniture.
To measure: easiest to measure old lock, if you have it:
- Lock Keyhole Location: distance between selvedge-edge – where bolt shoots through, to lock pin. This measurement is known as the backset.
- Furniture Keyhole Cutout Location: distance between furniture-edge to estimated location of lock pin in furniture keyhole.
