Dimensions of furniture leg must closely match interior measurements of cup |
Round Brass Leg Cap adds a prominent feature to chairs and tables. These furniture leg cups were originally used in the Federal and Sheraton periods. However the simple good looks of these brass cups complement furniture of many periods. Over the years they have been referred to as cups, sabots and ferrules.
These round Sabots are brass. Shape is tapered with a lipped top edge. Bottom is closed. While the finish is somewhat shiny, it is not perfect. Offering a handmade appearance these leg cups may have small scratches-pit marks or tiny dark splotches. Once installed these incongruities are rarely seen, as the leg cups are on the floor. Substantial construction provides years of use.
